1000 Words...
This painting was created by Eliya, the daughter of one of the board members. Eliya comes and cleans wheelchairs as a volunteer along with some of her classmates from her school. She says her reason for painting the animals was because whe wanted the wheelchair to be in a forest with animals looking in. She says she likes to help clean the wheelchairs because she can sit in them. As she cleans her smiles and enthusiasm are a joy to other volunteers.

Noah International School Cleaning Day
Noah International High School students reflected on their experience cleaning wheelchairs and shared their thoughts with us. You can see what they wrote on the Japanese side. Here a few of their comments

Some of the chairs were very dirty but came really clean. I was surprised that someone would throw out a perfectly good chair just because it was dirty.

The cleaning was much more detailed work than I thought and the work was rather exacting.

I was surprised that we used tape to remove even the tiniest bits of lint.

After we cleaned and fixed the chairs, I thought about what child would receive the chair and that made me happy.
