Transforming lives by sending refurbished wheelchairs throughout Asia

Mongolia Report
In June, a volunteer took a wheelchair to Mongolia. It has been sent to a young boy in the Altai Childrens' Ward.

Philippines Report - Four Stories
Roger is a 61 year old father of 12 children who is a carpenter by profession. He and his wife are supported by their 5th child who works as a housemaid in another area.

Roger has difficulty walking but doesn't know why as he has no money to see a doctor and learn about his condition. A pastor is now helping to see that Roger now can have the medical attention he needs.



Nanay is a 76 year old widow whose right leg was amputated due to an infection. Her hearing is also impaired. She used to be a cigarette vendor until the amputation.



Another lady by the name of Nanay is a 78 year old widow from Metro Manila who has numerous health problems. She was so appreciative of the wheelchair that she couldn't help but cry.

Her family is thrilled to have a collapsible wheelchair to take along while traveling on public transportation.



Jose is a 58 year old payloader operator from Jeddah who is disabled due to a mining accident. 12 years ago, a portion of the mountain caved in, causing a huge stone to roll over his payloader, pinning him. His right hand was amputated and his spinal cord was damaged, leaving him unable to walk and work.

Update from Malaysia
Daniel is an orphan. His mother passed away after delivery and his father left him when he was 5 years old. Currently, he is attending classes at Beautiful Gate Centre while waiting for home schooling. He has cerebral palsy and only one side of his hands and legs function well.

Daniel sent a message saying:
“I feel very grateful and wanted to let you know that I appreciate your kindness extended to me and thank you for giving a chance to me to live independently with the light weight wheelchair. Truly, your compassion and kindness has brought tremendous blessing and joy to me. Once again, thank you very much!”

Update from the Philippines
Corazon Rolda, 75 years old, single and living in Manila. Her back pain is from a severe case of scoliosis, a result of her falling down the stairs of her house when she was taking care of her siblings' children. Her finances allowed her to see a doctor, but far too late to do anything to fix her spine.



Despite her circumstances, she maintains a cheerful disposition.

Tears of Joy
Mrs. Clemente is an 80 year old widow who fell from the steep wooden stairs of her 6 sq meter 2 storey house. Since then, she has no longer been able to walk.
